Objectives

 

          The main objectives of the Corporation as per the Memorandum and Articles of Association and G.O.Ms.No.309, HM & FW (F1) Dept., dated 22.05.1987 and G.O.Rt.No.672, HM & FW (M1) Dept., Dt:20.05.1988 are:

1.    Construction of Hospitals, Medical Colleges, Teaching Hospitals and Staff Quarters and other infrastructure development pertaining to Medical and Health Department and also Maintenance of Hospitals buildings, College buildings and Staff Quarters etc.,

2.    Further, the other objective of Corporation is to supply quality medicines, disposables and equipment to various Hospitals in the state, as Nodal agency.

3.    To implement the schemes of Construction and Supplies funded by various internal and external agencies like NRHM, Government of India, DFID and Government of UK.

 

4.    Procurement and Maintenance of Equipment :

The Corporation has geared up to take the measures for capacity building of the Engineering staff and equip them with skills and competency required for strict adherence to rules and regulations procedures in Bio-medical equipment maintenance and also in procurement and system quality as envisaged in G.O.Ms.34 HM&FW (C1) department dt:25.02.2011. A Equipment Procurement, Maintenance Wing has been set up at Head Office as a part of maintenance measures initiated. Further, Bio-Medical Wing updates medical equipment inventory in 43 DME institutions. A new Policy on Medical equipment is under preparation for posing to Government.

 

5.    Generic Medicines outlets : (Jeevandhara / Janaaushadi)

The Corporation, interms of G.O.Ms. NO.54 HM&FW (L2) department dt:14.03.2011, has taken up initiative for making wide spread availability of Generic Drugs / Medicines across the state by setting up Generic Medicines retail outlets in all the Districts covering Urban Areas over a period of One year.

 

SECTION-II: COMMITMENTS OF APMSIDC:

                     

          The Corporation undertakes to achieve the following targets for the year 2012-13. (The performance indicators with weight age associated with each indicator are shown as follows.)

Online Management (Computerization) :

The Corporation is having sufficient software technology and all the records are being maintained on Computerization.

 

          The tenders for Civil works are being called for on e-procurement platform only irrespective of cost of work.  Further, the tenders for Drugs and Consumables are also being called on e-procurement platform only.

          Further, the Corporation is having online management for the Drugs is as follows:

a.   23 Drug Stores in 23 Districts have computers.

b.   All the 23 are connected to Head Quarter by Dial-up Connection.

c.    Indents from the Institutions are maintained.

d.   Supplies to the Institutions.

e.   Budget allocation and Utilization.

f.     Drug expiry and return to the firm.

g.    Pass Books.

h.   Stock Management.

 

The Corporation has built up expertise in execution of Civil Engineering construction works of Hospitals, Medical Colleges etc. and expertise in procurement of Drugs, Surgicals and Equipment. Due to this the Corporation is able to get the other department works such AP IIITs, Gurukulams, Veterinary Colleges, Collectorates, Stamps & Registration, Residential Schools, Commercial Taxes, it is etc.,
